AIRFUND Corporation is a United States-based commercial aircraft asset manager founded in 1984. With more than 22 years of experience, the company has been involved in the lease, sale and re-marketing of commercial aircraft, owning aircraft for its own account as well as managing commercial aircraft leases for limited partnerships, hedge funds and private owners. As an aircraft lessor, AIRFUND has acquired either for its own account, or for the account of owners for which it manages, 70 commercial aircraft. Those aircraft have been leased by AIRFUND on short and medium term triple net operating leases for a period of generally one to ten years. AIRFUND’s primary business is that of managing aircraft owned by hedge funds, financial institutions and limited partnerships. AIRFUND’s role in the transaction is that of originating transactions for the investor, managing the aircraft during ownership, and re-marketing the aircraft when returned off lease by the original lessee, either through an additional lease or through sale. AIRFUND has acted as a contracted marketing agent for numerous financial institutions – re-marketing aircraft returned off-lease and re-marketing lease investments where an aircraft remains subject to an existing lease. Since its inception, AIRFUND has completed aircraft lease transactions totaling approximately $2 billion with many of the world’s major airlines. AIRFUND Corporation specializes in structured operating leases of commercial aircraft. AIRFUND offers competitive financing on “difficult to finance” transactions where the lease term is unusually short, with lease terms from four months to twenty-four months being satisfactory. AIRFUND offers competitive lease financing on out of production commercial aircraft or commercial aircraft that are out of favor with institutional investors.
