    
Thomas G. Hiniker,
President of AIRFUND, has a career that spans 40 years in the aviation
industry. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree
from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from Union College. Mr.
Hiniker’s aviation service began as a nuclear physicist at General
Electric’s Aircraft Nuclear Propulsion Department where he was involved in
various design projects for the aircraft nuclear engine as well as a number
of commercial aircraft engine and gas-turbine engineering design and
marketing projects. He entered the leasing industry as a co-founder of the
country’s first nuclear fuel leasing company and subsequently became
interested in aircraft leasing. From 1968 to 1982, Mr. Hiniker was involved
in the leasing of over 40 business aircraft, primarily medium-term leases to
large corporations. In 1984, he founded Aircraft Funding Corporation to
enter the commercial aircraft leasing business (the name was changed to
AIRFUND Corporation in 1986). Mr. Hiniker is a member of the International
Society of Transport Aircraft Traders (ISTAT). He is currently a Trustee of
the ISTAT Foundation, a former Chairman of the Foundation and is a pilot
with multiple ratings.
